
Original design by Tinker Hatfield, this version was first released in 1989 as the first Nike Air Jordan shoes released to the international market. It features a cushioning sole that largely attributed to its becoming a worldwide bestseller. In 1999, a retro version of the collection included a white/black colorway and a black/cement colorway. A feedback, however, was noted with many of the fans complaining about particular changes and accused the company of “destroying a classic”. Then again in 2006, Nike released several variations of the Air Jordan IV, including the “Mars Blackmons, the Mist blue color and all white and all black sets. The latest retro collection retails at $315.
